Practicing for Doggie Water-Football League (DWFL) at the Lyon Oaks Bark Park

OK, here we are at the Lyon Oaks Dog Park (Bark Park). Training for another year of Doggie Water-Football. (Of course you've heard of the DWFL?) First you see me with my key players. I'm going over the next play with them in something we sport-dogs call a "Huddle"....if you click on the picture it'll get bigger and you can see the big guy on the right has the ball.
Below you see us practicing the proper way to "Break" a Huddle. Breaking a huddle properly is an art-form and must be properly executed. (It took us three times to get it right.) Not all dogs are Terriers.

Here you see the execution of our play in moving pictures....something we dogs call "video". As you can see I look a little confused near the end because NOBODY did what they were supposed to do. Have you ever tried coaching dogs? It's a challenge because dogs have short memories and even shorter attention spans.

Finally I got so frustrated I made everybody do some Water Sprints to help them focus and clear their minds (see video below). Perhaps they'll be more receptive next time. I wonder what they were doing when they were supposed to be studying the "Play Book".....Probably watching Animal Planet, or spending time on MyDogBella.com.
